School's Concerts
Fidaddle perform interactive concerts specially crafted for primary aged children
They provide a unique opportunity for children to experience and directly engage with a range of instruments, styles and musical activities. Combining an engaging and entertaining style with expert musicianship, Fidaddle present a show that is both informative and great fun.“I loved it when he played the violin on the unicycle!” Sam aged 7
Fidaddle features two of the UK’s leading musicians. Both natural performers with a passion for communicating their work, they have performed everywhere from The National Theatre and the RSC to festivals and concert halls around the world. Importantly they also have extensive experience in education. Luke is a former music teacher and they have both lead workshops for the BBC and Welsh National Opera amongst others.
Supporting the National Curriculum
Listening to a range of high quality live music is a key requirement of the national curriculum.
Singing is also cited, an important part of the Fidaddle experience. In a Fiddle concert we sing call and response songs and rounds
Recalling and repeating sounds and rhythms, both through singing and playing. We support this through call and response songs and rhythm games.
The virtuosity and sheer joy of our performances have, on regular occasions, inspired pupils to take up an instrument.
In Wales, traditional Welsh music is given particular prominence in the curriculum. This features in Fidaddle’s shows.
